This Privacy Policy explains how PASTEL collects and uses information for its AI-assisted review response workspace. This policy is written for the MVP and should be reviewed by counsel before broad commercial launch.
Information we collect
We collect account information such as name, email address, login session data, business workspace details, forwarding setup status, review records, response drafts, and product workflow activity.
Analytics and monitoring
We use PostHog for product analytics and session replay so we can understand navigation, activation, and product usage. We configure analytics to avoid collecting passwords, tokens, full email bodies, and payment information. We use Sentry for error monitoring, performance visibility, and debugging production failures.
Email and payment providers
We use Brevo to send transactional emails such as verification, password reset, OTP, and account emails. Brevo may process email addresses and delivery metadata needed to send those messages. Gumroad handles payment checkout, subscriptions, and payment method collection. PASTEL does not directly store card numbers, CVC codes, or full payment method details.
Cookies and local storage
We use essential cookies for authentication and session security. We may also use local storage for lightweight preferences such as whether the cookie notice has been accepted.
How we use information
- To create and secure user accounts.
- To provide the review inbox and AI-assisted reply workflow.
- To process transactional email and subscription events.
- To monitor product reliability and prevent abuse.
- To improve the product experience and onboarding flow.
Data sharing
We share data with service providers only as needed to operate the product, including PostHog, Sentry, Brevo, Gumroad, Neon PostgreSQL, and hosting infrastructure. We do not sell user account data.
